11. SIERRA DE IRTA-Mountain range forming the backdrop to Alcossebre.Walks range from 7 to 17 km take you up to the Baroque hermitage/lookout dating from the middle ages through nature parks and forests onto beaches inaccessible by road. Spectacular views over the resort of Alcossebre.

12. ISAS COLUMBRETES (boat trip from marina)-Tiny cluster of volcanic islands now a nature reserve and vital stopover for migratory birds. Visitors are only allowed on the largest island where the clear blue waters are perfect for scuba diving. See Golf/sport.

13. OROPESA DEL MAR -Europe's largest spa centre- Float in grapefruit filled Jacuzzis, relax in mud baths or steam away in saunas. An amazing experience if you have a spare day.
